Sig p365 slide catch lever problems.

SIG P365 X-MACRO Tacops Magwells. I own a Zev version of the P365XL. I just purchased an X-MACRO grip frame and 3 17rd mags from SIG, so that I can convert between the smaller P365XL frame and the larger X-MACRO frame. The only thing I'm missing from the Tacops model is the magwell and the extended slide catch lever.The problem is that when I reassembled the slide to the frame, while holding the takedown lever forward in accordance with page 62 in the manual, the slide assembled onto the frame with no problems but I couldn't get the Takedown Lever to rotate back clockwise to its operational position as illustrated on page 64.No problems seeing the sights because after carrying my pistols the same way for 40 years, muscle memory brings the SAS right up to where I see the bullseye every time. ... If you function checked after the LGS install, and it operated correctly, their probably not the cause. The cause is likely just normal/accidental handling.

I overall like the SAS version of the P365, but for some reason the non-existent slide lock and takedown lever bothered me. There's no good reason why honestly. The closest I can come to finding a reason is, when dry firing, I like to have an empty mag in because the base plate gives me just enough to get a 2 1/2 finger grip on the gun.

Thank you for contacting SIG Sauer and for your recent P365 purchase. The slide will not go forward on an empty magazine because the slide catch lever and the follower are both able to stop it. If you strike the bottom of any magazine hard enough you may be able to get the slide catch lever to release the slide.

The mag is out and the slide is locked back but the damn takedown lever will not go to 6 o'clock position no matter how hard I force it. My thumb is bleeding at this point lol. Might not be the same, but for a while the 320s needed to push the barrel down or back slightly to allow the lever to drop. This fixed it.

Started to work with it and immediately noticed that the takedown lever will not rotate to the 6 o'clock position. I can rotate to about 4 or 5 o'clock, but absolutely not further. Several people have tried to no avail.
