Re:Mind is effectively KH3's Final Mix. It doesn't fix the problems with the game, but the content it adds is pretty good, and if you liked the endgame challenges added to the FM versions of the other games, you'll love Re:Mind's additions. The “world falls to darkness” segment in KH1 gets a lot of heavy lifting from taking place on a mostly empty island in regards to the “It’s bad news but not too scary for kids” department. kh1 adds a variety of moves that make a first-time playthrough better (choosing the rod in 1FM is fun).
