TL;DR: Take some items off the CoX drop table and put them on the drop tables of the new, repeatable, DT2 bosses. With Desert Treasure 2 coming in a couple months, Jagex will be pitching the rewards for FOUR new bosses that will each have their own unique drop tables.

The DK rings are super old and the DKs themselves are pretty early on the list of bosses players can access.
