Vtm 4 light.
After a few days or normal driving (like the book says), the light was still on. When the check engine light was on, once the engine seemed to get warmed up, the VTM-4 light would come on and the AWD would stop working. As I am taking the car to the mechanic to have the code read, the check engine light goes from solid to blinking.
The VTM-4 (4WD/AWD) system is always on and sends power to the rear wheels (1) whenever you accelerate OR (2) whenever wheel slip is detected OR (3) when you press the "VTM-4 Lock" button at vehicle speeds below 18-mph and you are in 1st, 2nd or reverse gears. About the only time I use the "VTM-4 Lock" function is when the town …While this VTM-4 dash light is on, and when the tires are really slipping, the yellow exclamation point indicator in a triangle flashes rapidly. It stops flashing when the tires gain traction, but the VTM-4 light stays on. So, this turned out to be a bad left front (wheel) sensor. Jul 11, 2023 · To disengage VTM-4, you must follow any one of these steps: Press the "VTM-4 Lock" button so that the indicator light turns off. Move the shift lever to "D" (drive). Turn the ignition switch to the "lock" or "0" position. Once the VTM-4 Lock disengages, your Honda Pilot goes back to its VTM-4 auto mode.
